IPTV Troubleshooting Tips:
If you are experiencing any issues while stream, here are the most common troubleshooting tips to help resolve the issue
- Check Internet Speed: Ensure your internet speed is at least 10 Mbps for HD content and 25 Mbps for 4K streaming.
- Switch to Ethernet: If you're using Wi-Fi, switch to a wired Ethernet connection for a more stable and reliable stream.
- Clear App Cache: Regularly clear the cache of your IPTV app to prevent performance issues.
- Restart Your Device: Power off your IPTV device and restart it to refresh the system and clear temporary issues.
- App crashing or not opening: Update the IPTV app to the latest version. Delete the app, restart device, reinstall the app and setup your user account. Note that free apps like Smarters app can be very buggy
- Make sure your device OS (Android, Fire TV, TV firmware) is updated. Last resort but sometimes needs to be done - do a complete factory reset back to factory on your device, and re-install the app etc. Warning that you will loose all your apps/settings/profiles when you do this and will need to set everything up from the beginning.
- Data Storage on device: Check device storage—low space causes weird crashes. Sometimes deleting other apps on the device that you never use can help
- Internet blocking or throttling speeds? Install/running a VPN service (often fixes buffering instantly). Choose a VPN server close to your location for best speed. More details here: VPN - Splash Streaming services
- Number of devices running IPTV streaming apps: Your subscription limits how many devices can stream at the same time. For example, if you have a 3-device package, you can only run Splash IPTV on 3 devices simultaneously. You may install the app on unlimited devices, but only the number included in your subscription can be actively streaming at once. If the service is running on more devices than your plan allows, make sure to close/exit the app on the extra devices before streaming.
